Course Content

MODULE 1: The right to equality

This module looks at the choice to treat people fairly and explores issues of diversity and discrimination. By looking at the matter through the eyes of responsibility, we implore the learner to take equality seriously.

MODULE 2: The right to human dignity

In this module, learners understand what responsibilities the right to human dignity places on them. We look at what it means to treat people with respect and dignity and why it is important to be kind and polite.

MODULE 3: The right to life

The right to life means that we all have a responsibility to protect and defend the lives of others. We show how it also means that a person should try to live a healthy life.

MODULE 4: Children’s rights

The life of every child is precious. This module covers the right to family or parental care and teaches learners what it involves.

MODULE 5: The right to education

Education is one of the main building blocks of South Africa’s future. This module highlights the importance of education, finishing school and promoting a culture of learning.

MODULE 6: The right to work

In this module, learners will explore the importance of hard work and doing your best. We look at why living a successful life is no easy task, and an employee’s responsibility towards their employer.

MODULE 7: The right to freedom and security

In this module, learners are taught to take responsibility for the protection of others. We also emphasise the importance of resolving conflict peacefully.

MODULE 8: Socio-economic rights

This lesson covers the importance of respecting others and their property. We discuss how this right calls for being generous with your time and effort to build a better future.
